Interviewing guests on air: What keeps me listening.

Updated: Nov 9, 2018

In the past few weeks, thanks to Charlotte Palmer, her passion for discovering local talent and if I'm honest, her total enthusiasm in chatting with and connecting people, I find myself involved in producing radio/podcast chat shows. This is a lot more involving than it would at first appear.

I suddenly find that, for the first time in quite a while, I'm getting myself immersed in all the associated things(including this blog) needed to share this experience with you.

Ultimately, the central core is Charlotte and the way she relates to people, putting them at ease and encouraging them to talk and share themselves with us. She makes it look easy because she's genuinely interested in what her guests have to say and they're fascinating. There's also a lot of laughter and lots of cake!!

We already have a fascinating podcast on getting rid of debt for local people, a chat with a Hedge Witch and some very talented musicians. Coming soon, we have new host Jackson who at just thirteen is our youngest contributor. He's being mentored by Charlotte(see what I mean!) and hits the ground running with his first interview. These are the things that keep me listening.
